- This recording opens with singer Johnny Cash's rendition of "Southwind" and an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. The first segment, which begins at 0:55 is a feature about crime in Decatur, Georgia. The program features several audio excerpts of unidentified Decatur residents expressing their shock over the recent attack of two women, Jean Buice and Betty Ann Miles. Decatur City Manager Curtis Branscome and Reverend Lester Buice of Rehovath Baptist Chuch in Decautur are also featured. The second segment, which begins at 16:06 is a feature by West Virginia Public Radio that contains an interview of the Hammond sisters, two West Virginia women who sing and talk about folk music and dancing. They are interviewed by correspondent Susan Leffler. Barbara Smith of Alderson Broaddus College is also featured. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
