- This recording opens with an introduction of the program by Boyd Lewis. This program features reruns of segments. The first segment is a 1979 interview with the educator Benjamin Mays, who died on March 28, 1984. Dr. Mays talks about Martin Luther King Jr. as a student at Morehouse; segregation, and Morehouse College. The second segment, which begins at 11:29, is a feature about Rita Emerson, a trailblazing female preacher in rural West Virginia. A musical interlude by Tim Arkansas, who sings songs about the Summerhill community in Atlanta is played. The third segment, which begins at 23:31 is an essay by Boyd Lewis about spring rains. The program ends with a sign off by Boyd Lewis.
