rendering; drawing;
Trinity Methodist Church was established in 1854 as an outgrowth of a Mission Sabbath School founded in Atlanta, Georgia, by Martha and Green B. Haygood a year earlier. The church’s first building—the first brick church in Atlanta—was located on Mitchell Street. In 1871, the congregation moved to a new building at the southwest corner of Whitehall Street (now Peachtree Street) and Peters Street (now Trinity Avenue). In 1911, the congregation moved to its present home, a Gothic style brick building at the corner of Trinity and Washington Streets. - Local Identifier:
