- View of the exterior of the residence of Clark Howell, Jr., the managing editor of The Constitution, on Gordon Street in West End, Georgia (now the West End neighborhood of Atlanta).
Clark Howell, Jr. (1894-1966) was a soldier and journalist. He served as an officer in both World War I and World War II. He joined the staff of The Constitution as a reporter in 1919 and became the newspaper’s publisher and president in 1936, serving in that capacity until 1960. He was appointed to the State Board of Regents in 1934 and became a member of the Associated Press Board of Directors in 1937. - Local Identifier:
