- Piedmont College's student yearbook has been known as the Yonahian since its first issue under that title in 1920. The name celebrates one of the most prominent features of the local landscape, Yonah Mountain, near Cleveland, Georgia.
The 1920 issue was designated v. 1. Apparently, the Yonahian was not published in 1921, since the issue for 1922 is marked v. 2. Since the 1925 volume is marked v. 4, we believe the yearbook was published in 1924 as v. 3. Unfortunately, the Library does not have a copy of the 1924 Yonahian.
The Archives also does not have copies of the Yonahian for 1938 and 1945, and we have no evidence to suggest whether it was published in those years. We would be glad to hear from anyone who might have copies of Yonahians from any of those years.
