- Description:
- Manuscript sermon written by John N. Waddel, delivered at First Presbyterian Church (Oxford, Miss.), May 24, 1874. In this sermon Waddel describes the relationship between God's infinite nature and our ever-changing existence. He makes the point that apparent changes in God’s manifestations, as seen in the Bible, arise from changes in us. He illustrates this point by alluding to the relationship between the sun and the earth: how to us the sun appears to rise and set but in reality it is always shining. Sermon on Psalm 149:4.
