- Description:
- Manuscript sermon written by John N. Waddel, date and place of origin unknown. In this sermon Waddel distinguishes between true mysteries, which the human mind is simply unable to comprehend, and what is merely obscured by our inability to appreciate it. He then describes in detail the three ways in which the gospel is veiled from men: by pride, which prevents the gospel from access to the heart, by prejudice which hides the gospel from those who are lost, and by the dominion of some ungodly lust. Sermon on 2 Corinthians 4:3.
