encourage you to visit the campus in Decatur, Georgia, meet the
faculty and staff, visit with students and catch the spirit of this
institution which has striven to serve the Church since its beginning
in 1828.

Through our more than 1700 graduates who serve in every state

student body of 200 we seek to offer the Church men and women
of excellence dedicated to the ministry of Jesus Christ as under-
stood through the Reformed tradition.

Welcome then, to Columbia, its faculty, staff and students. We
covet your interest and support and prayers as we prepare for the
days ahead that we may serve with faithfulness, learn with diligence
and work unceasingly toward the greater Glory of God.

ance which is normally ottered to the student body or they may purchase
insurance through other sources.

All graduating students will be required to pay a Diploma Ice of

HOUSING

Unmarried Students

Dormitory housing is available for unmarried students. Most of the
rooms are for single occupancy, many of them have connecting baths.
All rooms are fully furnished with the exception of linens. Laundry facil-
ities are provided.

Married Students Without Children

Suites of two rooms with private bath are available for married students
without children. These suites are fully furnished with the exception of
linens. Laundry facilities are provided. There are no facilities for cooking.

Married Students With Children

One, two and three bedroom unfurnished apartments are available
for married students with children. The rent for these apartments is from
$75^0 $140 per month depending on the size of the apartment. Appli-
cations for apartments should be made as early as possible.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Columbia Seminary offers financial assistance to many students each
year. This assistance is available to First Professional Degree students
and is based upon need.

Students applying for financial assistance complete a form giving their
estimated income and expenses. The estimated expenses are figured
according to norms established by the Association of Theological Schools
and by a Columbia Seminary student-faculty committee. After financial
need is established, aid is provided in the form of work scholarships and
grants. Most students who come to Columbia Seminars without a large
indebtedness find that they can complete their Seminars education
without crippling financial worries.

15

Financial aid awarded for the 1974-75 academic year ranged from
$100 to $2400 depending upon need and family size. Maximum grants
were $1400 for single students, $1800 for married students without chil-
dren, and $2400 for married students with three or more children.

Students interested in more detailed information about the financial
assistance offered by Columbia Seminary should request from the Dean
of Students' Office the "Columbia Theological Seminary Memorandum
on Financial Aid."
