- In this report, an operative reports a talk with a striking loom-fixer and his dissatisfaction with the "bums" taking advantage of the strike, and that the leaders were "running things to suit themselves". Labor leaders Ola Delight Smith and Charles A. Miles are attempting to stop this sort of talk , and the operative must use discretion in speaking about it.
