- A 1948 Georgia Tech cheerleader's jacket worn by John Walter Lay, Jr. Jacket is of gold satin material in a short "Eisenhower" style. Embroidered "Ga Tech" appear on the right breast area in letters of white thread; a felt applique of a megaphone is on the left breast area. Jacket has slash pockets on either side and has a zipper closure running the length of the front. Jjacket is unlined throughout. "Lay, J. W." is stamped both on the interior of the collar and on the interior of the hem of the jacket. Maker's label is affixed to the interior of the hem of the jacket and indicates "The Floding Co. / Atlanta Ga."
