OUR MESSAGE

Each of us needs in his heart's treasury the memory of warm friendship...a happier day... time well spent.

As the years pass and the memory of your days here grows dim, you may renew afresh these golden hours

through the pages of this yearbook.

We wish to express to each of you who have given of yourselves and of your time in making this publication

possible, our profound appreciation.

DIRECTORS MESSAGE

As you walk forward towards them that are without--towards those who are waiting for you to
fill your place--we, here at Macon Vocational School, want you never to feel that your education is
completed and that you are leaving us, Instead, as you turn the pages of this, your first yearbook,
feel that we are your friends, standing ready to assist you in furthering your aims and education, your
hopes and desires,

We shall always be interested in your welfare, and in your successes, and, yes-~-in your failures
too, The men who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing

and succeed, is still as true as when it was penned by Lloyd Jones,

With the shield you now have, we feel confident that in walking outward and onward to that
challenging task that lies ahead of you, you will have the lack of nothing.

My warm personal wishes to each of you.

Hihewly

FACULTY

Mr. W.C. Whitley

Whatever our future achievements may be, we can look backward and
remember your untiring efforts to help us during our school days here,

We wish to thank you for many things...

...For spurring us on when the going was rough and never forgetting
the human side,

...For endeavoring to guide us, without dominating us.

...For enlightening our school days with unending, spontaneous humor.

...For making us think before we act.

Just as we remember the fine qualities of the man whose face is on the
penny, so we shall remember you,
