Volume 32
The day has come; the work is over.
This book is a dedication of many, capturing mo-
ments of who we really are.
With the treasured moments from kindergarten to
the present, from learning to write our name for
the first time until now, it is time to move to the
next level.
As tassels are turned together, let us remember
that we are the faces in the crowd, the fans in the
stands, the competitors, the leaders, the movers,
the shakers.
We have shared successes. We have suffered dis-
appointments. We have felt each others pain.
In the end, we all beam with pride as we reflect
on the Orange and Blue tradition. as we cap-
ture reflections of you perfection! .
BEFORE |
Entering
The first day of school isnt something students usually look forward
to. But when the alarm clock rang, students rolled out of bed, dragged
themselves to school and thought, this is my life for the next 180
days. When the students arrived, they got a rude awakening. With
the new block scheduling, everyone was required to be at school ear-
lier. They had to adjust to the new parking procedure and misplaced
classes. But students got in the groove soon enough, and the years ac-
tivities fell into place.

Mrs. Wacter reflecting on the day's events
Reflection ... is it a temporary image in a mirror
we check before resuming our schedules? Is it only a
fleeting consideration of our appearance before we
meet friends? Reflection can carry a far more last-
ing and important role in our development. The act]
is really a time a assessment an evaluation of}
past accomplishments and involvement, the part
those events have played in the development and
shaping of who we are now and how far we have
traveled in our journey toward goals and dreams.
Cherish this record of your starting place in your race
for greatness and fulfillment! Congratulations on an-
other successful year!

Reflections of ourselves are mirrored in our past, which is just as much a part of us as
the present. We are open to rhe new ideas and promises of the world. At the same
rime, we cling to the friends and memories that made our high school experience a
reminder of where we are from and what we are capable of accomplishing. We
begin to look art the future, but first we must reflect on experiences learned in our past

Being a sophomore is being called basic. It is also another
year of change. We are not quite an upperclassman, yet not
a piece of fresh mear either. So we view diversity as an asset,
and this year made us realize that we need fo take a closer
look at what exactly is unique. Simply, its us, the basics.

Every individual has a set image of themselves as well as the
people around them. While one person's purpose is fo examine the
mirror to find his identity, he must realize that others are also trying to
find their own. We are called fo be open and supportive of those
around us as we attempt fo find a positive perception of ourselves.

We are told thar we are whiners and slackers. We are part of the ME
generation and think the we are the center of the universe. BLAH, BIAH, BLAH!
but we have friendly faces and great personalities. We excel in sports,
leadership, and proudly display our talents. We are involved in clubs, many
activities, and classes, classes, classes that help others as well as ourselves.
We all experience the joys of learning, from the late night cramming
sessions to the dreadful report cards! At times, school may seem like
the biggest hassle in life. However, as we reflect back on our experi-
ences, we recognize that this is a time of preparation for the future.

As we strive fo examine our image in the mirror, we come fo realize that
although we are alone in our solitary cell, rhere are other people with similar
interests and concerns. In order fo achieve our individual dreams, we must
learn to come together as a group. We must organize. Although we may
not be able to impact the community alone, fogether we can do anything.

You win some; you lose some. This was common knowledge among the athletes that
participated in school sports. But winning and losing weren't the only lessons. Schoo!
sports taught reamwork, extra effort and how to overcome obstacles. The lessons
learned were ones that could be applied in life. And even though winning wasn't
everything, feams learned how fun it was. Some teams surprised even themselves by
making it to play offs and brought home trophies, awards and recognitions.

The world around us is constantly changing and improving. These advancements only come as we
strive to find the best in ourselves. These champions are willing to push beyond wha is expected in
order to mainrain Central's renowned repurarion for excellence.
These awards are as diverse as the student body. True honor comes from the internal desire ro reach
personal perfection, not an altruistic wish fo illicit praise from those around us.
It is our goal fo recognize as many of these students as possible and to encourage orhers fo strive for
the best. \We must all be sure rhar we see honor when we look at our reflection in the mirror.

Endless opportunities await those with determination and drive. As students and.future
world leaders, we have the ability to accomplish any dream or goal that we choose to
pursue. Each advertisement in rhis section represents the realization of a dream.
Regardless of how modest or extravaganr, someone had fo strive to see its fulfillment.
Aside from representing dreams and achieving goals, the financial revenue generated
from advertising sales allowed staff members to achieve at least one of their dreams
to produce this book of memories for you.
This section also represents success and should serve as an inspiration to us all. When
we see our reflection, may we also see rhe potential and succeed in future endeavors.

AMANDA LYNN JONES
Amanda,
You have just completed a memorable part of your life journey. To you, the time slowly, but to us it
has raced by. The life lessons you have been taught by your family & friends will now help to make you into
the adult you wish to become, Remember to stand strong & hold fast to your dreams, Your thoughts,
feelings, & beliefs are yours. Dont allow anyone to condemn you for them or try to change them.
The path you choose now will create your future. Dont be afraid to laugh, learn, or to cry. Most of
all, dont be afraid of challenges. Challenges turn fears into courage. BE COURAGEOUS! BE BOLD!
Reach for the brightest star, Dont hesitate or wait for the most opportune time, The time is NOW! Enjoy
today. Remember yesterday. Anticipate tomorrow. May your future be bright & prosperous.
As the curtain closes on your years at CHS, sit back, view the results, rewards, & accomplishments
of goals. As you strive for success, be strong, be honest, & be wise, but most of all dont forget to stop, smell
the daises, & be thankful,
Love to you always,
Dad, Billie, Hannah, Brittany, & Allie (the doggie)
is not in your
vocabulary!
Plant your feet on solid ground
and not be moved.
You are my personal ray of sunshine
sent to me by God above. And if I
live to be 100 and you 70 -
you will always be my baby.
