Color Specific

When its pep rally time at North-
east you can be sure that all the
Raiders will be ready and waiting to
show their spirit. You can be confi-
dent that you ll see that familiar
plethora of Raider colors illuminat-
ing the Lasseter Gym: Freshmen
will be covered with white because
they are the inexperienced neo-
phytes. The sophomores will be
dressed in a fiendish black to show
the foolishness that their name
designates. Juniors will be drenched
with gold which shines to show
their eminent emergence into the
realm of the upperclassmen. Finally,

the seniors will be decked out in red

to show that they are outgoing,

ready to face all challenges, and
that they stand out in any crowd.
To wear red at the pep rally
showed me that I was truly a REAL

Dr. Bell knows that you dont shut out the underclassmen by hiding behind newspapers to

show Senior Raider pride. The senior have enough school spirit in their class to pass on to

Beauty is only skin deep, but the
most true and natural beauty
comes from within. This internal
beauty is portrayed in the maturing
young ladies at Northeast. And ou
young men, they depict strength,
morality, and courage. Believe it
or not, it takes all of these
characteristics to win the heart of
a Raider because Northeast won't

settle for anything less

Continuing the tradition for
Northeast and the class of 1997 are
Emory Gross and Chasity Emory,
who were crowned Mr. and Miss

Now, we look back, We remember all the good
times and bad, friends we ve made and friends we
have lost, the battles, and the gifts that seemed to
come from Heaven. One Chapter draws to a close

we have learned. Those lesson were candles which

Spirit

At Northeast High, we definitely
have school spirit. Students come
together from all classes in support
of any school function. Seniors led
the pack with their high intensity
and motivation, but beyond school
spirit, the seniors possess leader-
ship. Then you have the juniors
anxious, energetic, and ready to
take over the seniors place in 98.
The sophomores jump in with high
hopes of being juniors. The fresh-
men class has had a slice of the pie

and now they want it all. We have

school spirit because our pride

speaks for itself.

A dedicated teacher, respected member of the com-

He quietly and patiently guided our footsteps. We
dedicate this book to his efforts, in thanks.

Class Participation

Students at Northeast High School are
constantly involved in hands on ac-
tivities to prepare them for their fu-
ture. Thanks to the magnet school
grant, students are able to do more in
depth labs in science, become expose
to higher degrees of technology in
math, and even delve into newest de-
velopments on computers. By using
high tech equipment daily, I will have
a step ahead when I enter college,

As we come to the end of another school year, we look back on the good times and look forward to the future. Throughout
our four years, there have been many good times and many bad times, but throughout it all, we stuck together and re-
mained strong. The Class of 1997 wishes to be remembered for the positive contributions we have made to Northeast

Health Science Magnet School. We hope that this book will serve as a guide for memories of everyones past as we move on

toward our future. Nicholas Studymine
