TEACHER

Mr. Gene Trammell was born in Sumner, Georgia
in Worth County. He was educated in the Worth
County Public Schools. He has a BS Degree in Ag
Education and an MS Degree in Ag Education from
the University of Georgia. He began work in educa-
tion at the University of Georgia. He has taught
school at Crawford County for three years. He en-
joys the community and the surrounding area. His
hobbies include flying (holds private license with
about 2500 hours) and scuba diving. He also loves
teaching.

STAR
STUDENT

in 1972 when Ruth Joyner went to work as a
clerical aide at the high school library, little did she
realize that the next decade would find her tramping
across college campuses, taking exams, and receiv-
ing degrees which would qualify her to teach.

Presently she holds a Master's Degree in Educa-
tion which she earned at Georgia College. For the
past four years she has taught English and coached
the Debate Team at C.C.C.H.S.

Although she enjoys such recreational activities
as taking long walks with her family and reading a
good book, she also enjoys working in a learning en-
vironment. To see a young person's face light up
when he grasps a concept, to listen as he explains
an analysis, to read what he has written from his
heart-----all these are pure joy to Ruth Joyner.

WADE CHAPMAN is the Star Student for the 1984-85
school year. He is awarded this distinction because he
made the highest score on the Scholastic Aptitude
Test. During his high school career, Wade was an
honor student, a member of the enrichment program
and a member of the Varsity Debate Team in which he
won several awards.

He also played football during his freshman year.

Presently, Wade is attending the University of
Georgia.

His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Chapman.
Wade has chosen Mrs. Ruth Joyner for his Star
Teacher.

DEDICATION

We, the members of the 1985 Annual Staff,
dedicate this yearbook to Mrs. Joyce Key, a
talented teacher, who has devoted seventeen years
of her time to all the students at Crawford County
High School. Mrs. Key is best known as a teacher of
Business Education Courses, and as the sponsor of
our chapter of Future Business Leaders of America.
The 1984-85 school year saw Mrs. Key add to those
responsibilities. She volunteered to produce this
year's Annual. The Annual Staff, along with the
faculty and students of CCCHS, says, Thank you
Mrs. Key, for all the time, patience, and hard work
given to help make this yearbook a reality!

WE LOVE YOU!

SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE

Each school year starts with a blank page. We hope you have filled those
blank pages this year with increased knowledge, increased confidence, a
greater respect for yourself and your fellow human beings, and with a lot of
happy memories. We walk this way only one time and it behooves each of us
to make the most of each hour and each day.

Some of you will be leaving C.C.C.H.S. at the end of this year. We wish for
you a sense of confidence, pride, peace and fulfillment as you go forward to
your next step in life. We hope we have helped you prepare adequately for
that step so that it is a small one and not one that is insurmountable.

For those of you returning next year, remember you are starting again with
a blank page. Work diligently to fill it with worthwhile things and take time to
have some fun along the way just get your priorities in order. There is a
time for serious work and a time for fun. Neither needs to be neglected but
neither needs to be exclusive of the other. A happy fulfilled life is one that is in
balance.

Good luck to you as we close out 1984-1985, and get ready for
1985-1986.
