TEACHER OF THE

Mr. Aaron B. Lively was selected Teacher of the Year for
1983-84. This is a honorable award. It was chosen at the
beginning of the year by the teachers and it shows how
well-liked and respected he is by his fellow workers. Mr
Lively has tremendous leadership qualities and he ex
ecutes them everyday. He teaches Spanish. Government
and Psychology. Out of his twenty-nine years of teaching,
he has taught at Crawford County for ten of them. Mr
Lively attended Mercer University, Pennsylvania and the
University of Georgia. He devoted himself to the school
chorus for the first three years of teaching at Crawford
County. He continues to be active in music, having served
as Director of Music in several churches. At the present
time, he is serving as a church organist in Thomaston. Mr
Lively is originally from Augusta, Georgia and makes his
home in Thomaston. All of the students think highly of him
and love him. Congratulations Mr. Lively

DEDICATION

Minna West was born in Ashville, North Carolina a while
back. She was educated in Alabama and received a B.S.
Degree from Sanford University and a Masters in Physical Edu-
cation from the University of Alabama. She received her Edu-
cation Specialists from Georgia College in Milledgeville. She
moved with her family to Roberta in 1975 when she began
teaching in our school system. We all know she was our P.E.
teacher until she moved into the classroom this year to handle
the CVAE program. Mrs. West is easy to talk with and stands
ready to help every student in every way she can. Our hats
are off to Mrs. West for her dedication to the Crawford Coun-
ty community, especially to her young citizens. From the stu-
dents of Crawford County High School; We Love You! For your
love and concern for us we dedicate this the 1983-84 ECHO to
you, one of the greatest Eagle Fans.

SUPERINTENDENTS MESSAGE

Each school year starts with a blank page. We hope you have filled
those blank pages this year with increased knowledge, increased confi-
dence, a greater respect for yourself and your fellow human beings, and
with a lot of happy memories. We walk this way only one time and it
behooves each of us to make the most of each hour and each day.

Some of you will be leaving C.C.C.H.S. at the end of this year. We wish
for you a sense of confidence, pride, peace and fulfillment as you go
forward to your next step in life. We hope we have helped you prepare
adequately for that step so that it is a small one and not one that is
insurmountable.

For those of you returning next year, remember you are starting again
with a blank page. Word diligently to fill it with worthwhile things and take
time to have some fun along the way just get your priorities in order.
There is a time for serious work and a time for fun. Neither needs to be
neglected but neither needs to be exclusive of the other. A happy
fulfilled life is one that is in balance.

Good luck to you as we close out 1983-1984 1984-1985. and get
ready for .
