FOREWORD

As the class of 1969, we Seniors, will be the first
to complete four years in the new Macon County
High School. Our last year is almostgone and it seems
we have hardly begun.

These years have indeed been a time to begin, to
study, to relax, to listen, to speak. And now is a time
for reflection and deep thought about the future

The 1969 BRIDGE is our attempt to condense
four years into a few pages. Now, look; remember;

and enjoy

Principal's Message

A WORD
from
Mr. Centers

The faculty and students of Macon County High
School are proud of our excellent facilities. We also
take great pride in our curriculum which is redesigned
each year to better meet the needs of our young
people. School spirit is an important ingredient in the
over-all pattern of academic as well as athletic events.
We emphasize music, drama, speech, debate, and art in
our attempt to provide for the total development of
each student. Our school will continue to make
progress as long as we enjoy the full support of the
community. ii

Mrs. Margaret Brand
Mrs. Brand is the trouble-shooter at MCHS. When anybody wants to know where anything is, he
asks Mrs. Brand and more than likely, she will know. She is Counselors secretary, library assistant,

lunchroom cashier and Records coordinator.

Vicky Law

Vicky really deserves a special spot in the 69 BRIDGE, because she checked and typed and
rechecked all the ads and did various other little odd jobs too.
Thank you for a good job, Vicki
