Taking candid shots, drawing layouts, and meeting deadlines,
the 1967 Growl Staff has striven to tell the story of Jones
County High School in many pictures and in a few words,
Summer delivery, double page dividers, and carefully
planned pages are improvements that the staff has used to
make this yearbook the best ever edited.

You're out!

Baseball

Strike him out! The old pros

Hit a homer, John!

The 1967 baseball season was concluded on a sad
note with a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Hawkinsville in
the sub-region play-offs, However, the outlook is

bright for the future since four juniors and four sopho-
mores were in the starting lineup. The overall sea-
son was characterized by good fielding and pitching,
but the hitting department came up a bit short,

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning
and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of man
transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by
free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws
rather than of men;

That earths great treasure lies
in human personality;

And that service to humanity is
the best work of life.
