- Description:
- Juliette (Gordon) Low founded the Girl Scouts of the United States of America in 1912.
Correspondents include Juliette Gordon Low, Mabel Gordon Leigh, Rowland Leigh, Nelly Kinzie Gordon, W.W. Gordon II, General Sir Archibald Hunter. The letters of 1905 except one are concerned with Juliette Gordon Low's separation; the question of divorce; W.M. Low's sickness, death, and funeral in June 1905; and the settlement of his estate. One letter of May 1905 is a copy of a letter from General Sir Archibald Hunter describing a tiger hunt in India. There is a letter dated 1907 from Juliette Gordon Low to Nelly Kinzie Gordon which discusses W.M. Low's will. Most of these letters are typed copies of originals not in the collection. - External Identifiers:
