OBITUARY
Mrs. Ida Mae Moody, also known as Aunt Mae, Cousin Mae, and
Mama, was the oldest of nine children born to the late Robert Brinson
and the late Maudie Brinson on July 30, 1925, in Hagan, Georgia.
Those who loved and knew her are not likely to forget her Peace
Maker and always pleasant attitude, good neighbor, and nice manners.
She will be remembered as a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister,
aunt, cousin, church worker, and friend. Especially through the love of
her sisters, children, and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ida Moody was converted at a young age and joined Historic
Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She served faithfully as an
usher until May 2001, when health problems permitted her.
She was married to the late Leroy Moody. Three sons were born out
of this union. One son, Harvey L. Moody, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish many fond memories to the following loved
ones; sons, Melvin Moody (Nancy), Kennesaw, GA, Wayman Moody,
Hagan, GA; two brothers, Freddie Brinson, Robert (Betty) Brinson,
Hagan; four sisters, Nola Mae Smith, Hagan, GA, Sadie Brooks
(Bobby), Atlanta, GA, Sylvia Robinson, Ellenwood, GA, and Emma L.
Davis (Andrew), Miami, EL; five sisters-in-law, Sally Moody, Maggie
Harper, Willie Mae Hagan, Rudy Moody, Claxton, GA, and Bessie
Brinson, Miami, FL; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren,
and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
