OBITUARY
God saw the road was getting rough
The hills were hard to climb
He gently closed those loving eyes
And whispered 'Peace be thine,
The weary hours, the days of pain
The sleepless nights are passed
The ever-patient worn out frame
Has found sweet rest at last.
Mrs, Alice Coleman Presley was born in Evans County,
Georgia, on January 20,1902, to the late Mr. and Mrs. James
Charles Mikell.
At an early age she joined Green Cypress Baptist Church
and was a faithful member until her health failed.
She departed this life Tuesday, at Pleasant View Nursing
Home, Metter, Georgia, after a long illness.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Mr.
Tommie Presley, six sisters; Mrs. Gertrude Scott and Mrs.
Elizabeth Mattox of Hagan, Georgia, Mrs. Marietta Berry of
Glennville, Georgia, Mrs. Bessie Blocker, Mrs. Eloise Nails
and Mrs. Annie Lee Bacon of Ciaxton, Georgia, three
brothers; Mr. John Henry Mikell of Savannah, Georgia, Mr.
J. C. Mikell of Hagan, Georgia, Mr. William (Bill) Mikell of
VIdalia, Georgia, three sisters in law; Mrs. Josie Bell Mikell,
Hagan, Georgia, Mrs. Eloise Mikell, Vidalia, Georgia, Mrs.
Mamie Lue Mikell, Savannah, Georgia, two aunts; Mrs.
Anna Bacon and Mrs. Edna Richardson of Ciaxton, Georgia;
one uncle, Mr. Pratt Reeves of Metter, Georgia, and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
