OBITUARY
Mrs. Katie Lee Martin, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Will Cummings, was born Feb. 9th,
--1909 in Bulloch County, Ga. She departed this
life May 1,1975, at her residence.
She joined the First African Baptist Church
in early life. She was a faithful member and an
active worker of several organizations in the
church.
She was married to Mr. Frank Martin in 1934.
To this union one child was born.
She leaves to mourn, a loving husband, Mr.
Frank Martin, Claxton, Ga.; one son, Mr. Lee Ar-
tis Martin, Miami, Fla.; a granddaughter. Miss
Annie Louise Martin; two great-grand children,
all of Claxton, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Janie Jones,
Statesboro, Ga., Mrs. Sallie Littles, Philadelphia,
Pa.; six brothers, Mr. Jake Williams, Statsboro,
Ga., Mr. Willie Cummings, Columbus, Ga., Mr.
Sapho Knight, Claxton, Ga., Mr. Jessie
Jenkins, Mr. C. L. Jenkins, all of Statesboro, Mr.
B. J. Jenkins, Philadelphia, Pa.; one brother-in-
law; 4 sisters-in-law; a host of nieces and neph-
ews, other relatives and friends.
Is it all over? No, the sun has just begun to
shine as she crosses the river of Jordan where
theres no sickness, sorrow or death.
Sleep on, sleep on The Golden Gates awake
you.
