- This collection consists of diaries, an account book, images, and a letter by Asbury L. Stephens of the 81st Ohio Infantry. The content mostly covers the Civil War during 1864-1865.
The 81st Ohio Infantry (1861-1865), of which Asbury L. Stephens was a member,was active during the Civil War. In this time the regiment captured numerous prisoners, obtained three battle flags, and participated in regular duties of siege.
