December 15th, 1938.
The Honorable E. D. Rivers, Governor, State of Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia.
Dear Sir:
I beg to submit herewith my report of the operations of the State Treasury-
Department for the period of time from January 1st, 1937 through June 30th,
1938.
;
The report is divided into two parts -- the first part covering operations for the period from January 1st, 1937 through June 30th, 1937, consisting of eighteen schedules as per index preceeding same; the second part covering the operations for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 1937 and ending June 30th, 1938, which consists of twenty schedules as per index immediately preceding in part two.
The General Assembly in its 1937 Session changed the State's fiscal year to begin July 1st and end June 30th each year, which accounts for this report covering an eighteen months period, since no report has heretofore been made for the six months period immediately preceding the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 1937.
Respectfully,
GEO. B. HAMILTON, State Treasurer.
