2013 - 2014
Short-term Employment Projections
Georgia Jobs expected to be in highest demand over the next two years
Workforce Statistics & Economic Research

Georgia's Top Jobs Grouped by Most Expected Annual Openings for 2013-2014

Employment projections for Georgia's workforce indicate steady and constant growth ahead. As the state's economy enters into its third projection horizon with a positive gain, industries continue to stabilize and position themselves for future expansion.
Over the next two years (2013-2014), we estimate that nearly 50,000 new positions will be available to be filled each year. Additionally, over 100,000 replacement job openings will arise from the need to replace workers who retire, transfer to other occupations, or leave the labor force permanently. During this period, job openings resulting from replacement needs will exceed those coming from growth in most occupations by 2 to 1.
This brochure lists the jobs that will be in the most demand for 2013 and 2014. Each table shows the top jobs that will have the most annual openings by education level. Annual openings are separated by those resulting from growth (new positions), and those resulting from replacements. Annual wages from the 2013 Georgia Wage Survey are shown for each occupation (when criteria for disclosure are met).
