Fastest Growing Occupations
These fast-growing occupations will have better employment prospects than occupations with slow or declining employment. Also, conditions will be more favorable for mobility and advancement.
Two occupations (Network Systems and Data Communications Analysts) in computer technology made the fastest growing jobs list.
Five are found mainly in health services.
Three of these occupations require no formal education beyond high school.
Four have received the "HOT" label on a statewide basis.

Total Industry Growth
Total employment in WIA Areas #3 & #6, that is, in Fulton County in its entirety, is expected to grow from more than 785,000 jobs in 2006 to a little more than 856,000 by the year 2016. This equates to more than 7,000 new jobs added each year. The Atlanta Fulton County area is the principal commercial, financial, transportation, and manufacturing center for the southeastern United States. Other key industries are tourism, telecommunications, health services, higher education, and federal and state government employment.
