Six of the fifteen fastest growing occupations are in the computer industry.
Most of these occupations require a college degree or up to a year of on-the-job training.
Eight of these occupations require an Associates or Bachelor's degree.

Occupations with the Most Job Growth

Total employment in WIA Area #11 is expected to grow from more than 120,000 jobs in 2008 to 134,000 by the year 2018. This equates to 1,400 new jobs added each year. This area is home to two regional medical centers, a state psychiatric hospital, several colleges and universities, and a large military base. There is also significant employment in aircraft and bus equipment manufacturing as well as kaolin mining.
