PREFACE

The census of the children of school age, 6 to 18 inclusive, in Georgia was taken during the months of March and April, 1923, in every county
of the State. The final returns were due at the State Department of Education on April 30. The completed returns, after being carefully compiled and consolidated, were submitted to the State Board of Edueatu>n on June 21 for offieial approval. After full consideration, the Board voted the official approval of the census as herewith published.
The completed school census shows the following results:
