The annual report of the Georgia Department of Education for 1976 is based on information compiled by the department for presentation to the
Governor's Task Force on Education . An orienta-
tion for the task force was held on June 30. 1976. as the group began i t s study of Georgia's public
school system. The report is limited in quantity
and is available for review only in the offices of
Georgia's city and county school system superintendents. the Georgia Department of Education
and public and college libraries in Georgia. Addi-
tional. detailed statistical information is available from the department's Statistical Section. which compiles and publishes financial. enrollment.
attendance and certification data annually.
