GAIT 2010 business requirements, RFPs proceeding on schedule

The development of business requirements and RFPs for the Georgia Infrastructure Transformation (GAIT) 2010 procurement is proceeding on schedule. About 80 people from the participating agencies are serving on one of the following procurement teams:
IT Infrastructure Managed Network Services Local Telecommunications Services Finance Data Collection Human Resources
Many of the agency team members are spending three days each week onsite at GTA, and we are surprised at how quickly they have settled in and started right to work. The smoothness with which the project is proceeding can be attributed in large part to your strong support and the outstanding people you have assigned to work on it.
To ensure success, the following enterprise agencies are also working with GTA: Office of Planning and Budget Department of Administrative Services State Personnel Administration
As we have always said, GAIT 2010 is as much a change management process as it is a technology transformation.
The IT outsourcing will affect all agencies receiving services through GTA. Even if your agency is not currently involved with the procurement, an agency that is involved likely has business requirements similar to yours.
Many processes will change as a result of the outsourcing, even for agencies not taking part in the initial transition to external service providers. These processes will include:
Procurement Billing Budgeting Planning Asset Management
Procurement Timeline Develop requirements, RFP, RFQC - January through March 2008 Release RFQC - March 2008 Release RFPs, competitive bidding - April through October 2008 Transition to external service providers - November 2008 to March 2009
The heads of participating agencies and anyone on their leadership team who would like a detailed briefing about the procurement are being asked to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). All team members previously signed NDAs, which prohibit the sharing of information without specific authorization. The purpose of requiring NDAs is to maintain the integrity of the competitive bidding process.
