Food Services
OVERVIEW Master menu provides an average of 2,700 calories for males and 2,200 calories for female offenders Responsible for preparation and service of over 37,587,693 meals annually Medical diet menus are developed and administered for all facilities Supplies emergency support for all Department kitchens: three field kitchens, two food preparation trailers, two generators and one water tanker Specifies all food service equipment and provides Food Service Maintenance specialist to GDC for assistance with all Food Service Repairs Provides administrative oversight for contracted Food Service locations

Utilizes any idle farm land throughout the year to generate revenues to off-set the cost of operating, reducing the amount of appropriated funding needed to feed GDC's inmate population.
