A UNIQUE CAMPING EXPERIENCE
H ave you ever wished you could leave the tent or camper at home, or say "I don't care if it rains and the wind blows:' Camp in a yurt and you can say and do exactly that. The yurts at Bobby Brown State Park are 20-foot-diameter round tents with a wood lattice frame and beautiful tongue and groove heart pine floors.
Each yurt has a 12' x 16' front deck,a 16' x 16' rear deck, and a large gravel dining area with a picnic table and grill/fire ring. The interior includes electric heat and a ceiling fan, heavy white cedar furniture which sleeps six, electrical outlets, four large windows and two locking doors. A water spigot is located outside. All you need to bring are sleeping bags or linens, cooking utensils, a cooler, food and an attitude for fun.
How Do You CAMP IN A YuRT? Consider the yurt a tent that is already set up for you. When you check-in at the park office you will be given a code that will open the door of your yurt. This code is specific to your stay and is changed when you leave.
