WHAT IS JOBS FOR GEORGIA GRADUATES?
Jobs for Georgia Graduates (JGG) Five Year Program is a dropout preventive program. The five year program is designed to identify students in the spring of the 8th grade year and they are eligible to receive services through graduation and for 12 months thereafter. The five year program includes four years of in-school and summer period services as well as 12 months of postgraduate follow-up. All participants receive 60 months of services.
JGG's major goals are: l IN-SCHOOL: Focuses on personal and academic development through remediation and counseling; removal from welfare rolls, teenage offender, teen parenting, abusive situations and depression.
l POST-GRADUATE: Producing qualified graduates immediately entering the labor market in search of work and job retention.
l LONG-TERM: Graduation and Destinations (employment, military or post-secondary education).

INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
l Guide each student through high school and graduation into a career All students receive 720 hours of curriculum/classroom contact plus summer school over the 60 month period
l Provide remedial and basic skills training derived from resources in the summer school or community
l Activities aimed at the improvement of study skills
l 12 months of follow-up after graduation
