GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
NOTICE TO CLAIMANTS
Information is needed from you and your employer to determine your eligibility for benefits under the Georgia Employment Security Law. Please answer all questions on the questionnaire carefully and thoroughly. Failure to do so may delay your claim. After a review of the information from you and your employer, you MAY be contacted by telephone, but ONLY if additional information is needed.
DO NOT HAVE CALL BLOCK FOR UNIDENTIFIED CALLERS OR WE MAY BE UNABLE TO REACH YOU, if needed.
A written decision will be made on your eligibility to receive unemployment insurance benefits. This decision will be mailed 14 days from the date your claim is filed.

For more information on how to certify, review the UI Claimant Handbook or contact our Customer Service Center at (404) 232-3001 if you are in the Atlanta area. If you live outside the Atlanta area you may call toll free at (877) 709-8185.
NOTE: If you have claimed a week of benefits and have not received your written decision or a telephone call from a claims examiner by the 16th day from the date your claim was filed, please call immediately.
