Is this your first . . . or fifth . . . or twentieth job search? It doesn't matter.
Unemployment is frustrating and the prospect of looking for a new job doesn't get more pleasant with experience.
To shorten your current period of unemployment and assist you in obtaining the best possible position, the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) provides special reemployment services.
Research shows that a well-planned, dedicated job search can double job prospects and significantly shorten periods of joblessness.
One of the Department's most important responsibilities is service to our state's job hunters. If you are willing to provide the time and labor, REU can offer the material and tools to help you build your employment future.
Our Reemployment Services Unit (REU) can help you plan and organize your job search. You will be given materials developed by experts in job hunting techniques. Although program participants are responsible for developing their own job leads, REU staff will be available to provide job referrals and individual guidance.
If you are a U.I. Claimant, you must comply with all GDOL program requirements. Failure to do so could affect U.I. Benefits.
