THE CAMP- islocatedon74 acres ofland adjacent to Franklin D. Roosevelt's Little White House. It was the siteof the U.s. Marine encampment during ED.R.'s visits to WarmSprings as Presidentofthe United States.
THELAKE- Ascenic twelveacre lake, with docks, piers, ramps and watercraft, is the focal point of the camp and provides excellent opportunities for water sports such as fishing, boating, swimming or simply relaxing on the shore.
THEOUTDOOR POOL - Swimming is a popular sport for campers and Camp Dream has an outdoor poolfeaturing lift and transfer wall for easyaccess.
THE LODGES- Two rustic lodges with lakeside views accommodate up to 77 people. There is comfortablesleeping space for 33 (three beds per room) inonelodge, for 44 (four beds per room) in the other. Bedrooms in each lodge have private bathrooms, equipped with wheelchair showers. Each lodgefeatures a spacious greatroom,with massive stone fireplace and huge windows that seem tobeckon the outdoors. The greatrooms are ideal settings for social gatherings. TV.s, V.C.R.s, refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffee pots are furnished. Table heights are adjustable.
"For parties with more than 77 people, additional cottages on the Roosevelt Institute campus may be obtained, but reservations must be made separately and booked in advance.
PAVILION - Apavilion sets the scene for group entertainment outdoors, dances and games, basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard etc., or a cookout.
DINING HALL - Adining hall with seating capacity for up to 100 is available. Food services may be arranged through Morrison's Cafeteria on the Institute's campus. The food is prepared in Morrison's kitchens and delivered to the camp.
TRACK AND FIELD - A400 meter track and a softball field invite competitive sports and challenge individual athletic skills.
NATURE TRAILS - One and a half miles of paved, barrier-free nature trails wind through scenicwooded areas, where native flora and fauna abound. Campers are sure to enjoy the outdoor education program, which includes a ropes course. Inaddition, thewell known Pine
Mountain trail is located in close proximity to Camp Dream.
CAMPING - Primitive camp sites are available to accommodate the more adventurous and provide ideal settings for ecological and environmental education.
CAMPFIRE - Acampfire helps to complete an enjoyablecamping experience anda well designed campfire area is available. What better way to end a day at camp than sitting around the campfire sharing stories, singing and performing skits!
ALSOAVAILABLE - Water craft, sportsand game equipment areprovidedon a "check out" basis.
Scheduling arrangements may be made for use of the 72,000 square foot recreation building which houses state of the art recreation facilities.
INDOOR POOL - The 25-meter, heated indoor swimming pool is fed by pumping in the renowned Warm Springs mineral water.
GYMNASIUM - The gymnasium with N.C.A.A. basketball court, is as attractive as it is functional. It is oneof thefacilities used by The Netherlands Paralympic team, who cameto Warm Springs to train for the 1996 Summer Paralympics held in Atlanta.
INDOOR TRACK - Arailed, elevated indoor track circles thegymnasium, affording an excellent view of the courts below.
FITNESS ROOM - All the latest in fitness equipment offers many ways to build strength and endurance.
BOWLING ALLEY - The six lanebowling alley is equipped with handle balls, pushsticks, bowling ramps, and automatic electronicscoringsystems.
OTHER ACTIVITY AREAS - It seems no recreational interest has been overlooked in the planning of the recreation building. Also featured are: an indoor archery and air rifle range, two racquetball courts, three arts and craft rooms, music room,computer room, activity room, aerobics room, game room and short order snack bar.

During the nineteenth century WarmSprings became a popular spa resort with the fashionable "Meriwether Inn" built in 1869 attracting visitors who came at first in carriages, then by stagecoach and later by train until the resort declined in 1920.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt discovered relief from the debilitating effects of polio in the soothing water and in 1927 found ed a treatment center
The Roosevelt Institute's Center for Therapeutic Recreation offers a unique blend of resources to facilitate a wide range of educational and relaxing activities throughout the year. The buildings are air conditioned and heated. Camp Dream, the recreation building, the track and field are allattractive and fully accessible.
