HOWARD E. BENNETT FORESTRY MUSEUM
The museum, located on the grounds of the Georgia Forestry Commission, 5645 Riggins Mill Road, Macon, Georgia (Exit 5, I-16), displays a wide variety of interesting products made from wood. Vintage equipment and tools tell the history of Georgia's emergence as the nation's leading forestry state. A scenic trail of native trees is a part of the museum complex. The museum is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Free admission. The tour is self-guided, with guides available for groups making reservations.
