The Department of Volunteer Services Philosophy is to develop and increase volunteer opportunities which enrich our young offenders. The program is established to encourage a lifetime of volunteer commitment to service.
The DJJ Volunteer Services Program Mission is to recruit, retain, and promote volunteers who are dedicated to providing an array of services to DJJ youth. The volunteers will help motivate and empower our youth to become productive and law abiding citizens in their communities.

The Department of Juvenile Justice has opportunities for volunteers located throughout Georgia to provide services to young offenders detained in facilities or committed to supervision in the community.

The Department of Juvenile Justice is looking for interns
who want valuable experience, professional connections, and unique opportunities working with young offenders. Most DJJ internships require interns to work during regular office hours scheduled 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (and may
have weekend hours available depending on the volunteer project). All DJJ internships offer academic
credit without compensation.
