Fall 2002
SEC FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
The SEC Football Championship is always full of surprises and spectacular action. In 2001, Chicago Cubs prospect Matt Mauck, replacing injured starting quarterback Rohan Davey, ran for two touchdowns. Number 21 LSU went on to win its first Southeastern Conference title since 1988 with a 31-20 upset of second-ranked Tennessee.
On Dec. 7, 2002, the Georgia Dome will be packed with enthusiastic SEC football fans. The SEC recorded the largest total attendance figure of any conference in the nation for twenty years in a row. That enthusiasm carries over to the conference championship, which sold out last year.

The SEC has an illustrious history, and is now looking to the future. The conference named Michael L. Slive, former commissioner of Conference USA, as the seventh commissioner of the Southeastern Conference on July 2, 2002. Slive was the first-ever commissioner of Conference USA when the league was formed on April 24, 1995. He was also commissioner of the Great Midwest Conference when that league was formed in 1991.

The Falcons
Have Landed
Falcons Landing, formerly called the Birdsnest, provides an area for Falcons fans to come together before the game and build up an excitement that they can carry with them into the Dome.
Falcons Landing, the fantastic FREE NFL theme park at International Plaza, provides an area for Falcons fans to come together before the game and build up an excitement that they can carry with them into the Dome. Falcons Landing, modeled after "The NFL Experience," offers fans the opportunity to participate in several interactive games and activities, such as punt, pass and kick drills, autograph signings with cheerleaders and players, and live broadcasts of 4 p.m. televised football games. The fun starts three hours before kickoff of each home game and lasts for two hours after the game
ends. Located at the International Plaza (between Philips Arena and the Georgia Dome), this six-acre grass park is open to the public free of charge before all Falcons home
games. Fans with wristbands (obtained at upper gate D) and ticket stubs may enter and leave the Dome to go to Falcons Landing during the game.
New this year at Falcons Landing, tailgate hospitality tents are available for groups of 20 or 200. Food and beverages and private VIP tents are provided for the ultimate tailgate experience. For more information, please contact Leslie Brown of the Atlanta Falcons Marketing Department at 770.965.2774.

Congratulations LINDY ERWIN
Falcons Ticket Winner
After each Chastain concert, a survey was sent to all the members who attended the concerts. It was a simple, five question survey with a chance for executive members to give feedback. By responding to the survey, each response was entered for a chance to win a pair of Falcons tickets. The winner for this series was Lindy Erwin with Mohawk Industries. Erwin received two tickets to the Falcons Bears game and two field passes. Congratulations, Lindy!
Congratulations
Are you an MVP?
Being a Club Member definitely has its benefits. Besides all the exciting Falcons football, there are concerts, golf outings, Fox Theater and Chastain Park events and opportunities for prime seating at all the other great events that come to the Georgia Dome. Know someone who would enjoy the Club as much as you do? Well, the Georgia Dome has a new program just for you.
Executive Members at the Georgia Dome can participate in a new referral program called the Georgia Dome Club Level MVP Program. Participants receive rewards for referring friends and associates who sign up to become members. When existing members sign up for the MVP program, they receive introduction cards. They pass these cards on to their friends or colleagues, who mail them to the Dome if they are interested in the Executive Member experience.
For every referral that results in a sign-up, MVP participants earn points that they can cash for rewards. MVP's get one point for each club seat, two points for a single-game group suite and one point per seat for a 16- or 24-seat suite purchased. An MVP accumulating two points during the program would receive an autographed football. An MVP that accumulates 10 points over the course of the program would receive an autographed football, a Falcons game jersey, a Falcons helmet and $100 dollars to spend at a game. For 24 points, the reward includes everything in the 10-point reward plus a golf foursome at a prestigious Atlanta course and a pair of tickets and airfare to an away Falcons game.
"Our members have been referring people to us for years and now we have developed a program to reward these MVP's that have helped us find potential new members," said Greg Barckhoff, director of business development at the Georgia Dome. "Who better than our own members to turn people on to all the benefits the Club Level has to offer," he added.
In addition to the point rewards, successful MVP participants become eligible for "Top Achiever" gifts. At the conclusion of each season, the Georgia Dome's general manager, Carl Adkins, will award special gifts to the MVP programs' top achievers. These gifts include tickets to the Super Bowl and other premiere national sporting events, exclusive golf opportunities and commemorative merchandise. "I think this is a great opportunity for our members. In addition to the great service, amenities and sports excitement here at the Dome, the MVP program is just one more reason for our customers to refer their friends to us," said Adkins.
