Appropriations Higher Education Subcommittee Meets on Perdue's USG Recommendations
Chancellor Erroll B. Davis Jr. appeared before the Higher Education Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee on Jan. 22 to further discuss Gov. Sonny Perdue's Fiscal Year 2008 budget recommendations for the University System of Georgia.
Also last week, the Higher Education Subcommittee which is chaired by Rep. Bob Smith heard presentations on FY 2008 capital-outlay budget items from a number of other University System officials.
The presenters included Linda Daniels, vice chancellor for facilities; Mike Cassidy, president of the Georgia Research Alliance; and the presidents of Fort Valley State University, Georgia College & State University, Georgia Gwinnett College, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State University, Macon State College, North Georgia College & State University, the University of Georgia and the University of West Georgia.
