Thanks & Giving

Dear Friends of Xpress:
As we approach the end of 2013, Xpress has a lot to be thankful for. We're thankful for a year full of successes for Georgia's economy, transportation, and safety.
We're thankful that Georgia has been honored for having the best business climate in America.
We're thankful to Governor Deal for keeping the promise to end tolls on GA 400 on November 22, and we're thankful that we continue to benefit from the services the tolls helped fund, such as expanded HERO trucks, new connector ramps at GA 400 and I-85, and, of course, Xpress bus service in the GA 400 corridor.

We're thankful that this year, across the state, we've had fewer traffic fatalities than last year.
But most of all, we're thankful for your ridership and support.
We're especially thankful for your feedback. Over the past year, Xpress has used our riders' feedback to help make commutes easier and faster:
It was because of your feedback that we worked harder to align our bus schedules more closely with MARTA, so that you spend less time waiting for a connecting train.
Your feedback helped us increase service when and where you need it most, improving the overall reliability of your commute.
And because of your input, we're working with companies across Atlanta to help get more employees personalized commute options, information, and discounts.

This is also the season of giving. By riding Xpress, you're already helping this region use 5 million fewer gallons of gas each year, and removing 1.5 million cars from the interstates.
I'd like to ask you to give a little bit more this December. The 11 Alive/Salvation Army Can-A-Thon is the largest charitable event Xpress participates in each year. Check out the details for this year's challenge on the next page.
In previous years, Xpress riders have been exceptionally generous, but this year we have an even more ambitious giving goal. I hope you will continue our tradition of generosity by donating two cans--or more!--to provide food for the less fortunate in our communities during this holiday season.
Sincerely,

Thank you. Every bit of feedback you provide helps Xpress improve service to meet your commute needs. Our continuing success depends on it.

Fall 2013

31st Annual Can-A-Thon Challenge Week
Xpress riders are getting a good reputation in the annual 11 Alive/Salvation Army Holiday Can-A-Thon.
Why it's a good one: Year after year, Xpress riders donate tons of food. Literally. We want our seventh year of participation to break records, and we hope you'll find a couple of cans to donate to help feed the hungry in our region.
This year, we're seeing who can give the most: Which Xpress route can donate the most cans of food during this year's Can-A-Thon? Does your route have the most generous riders?
Show your support for our local food banks and for your route by donating canned food items during this year's challenge week.
Fast Facts: 2013 Can-A-Thon Details
What: Donate canned foods to help stock local food banks. Find out more at our Can-A-Thon webpage.
When: Donations will be collected December 2-5, and the morning of December 6.
What: Each Xpress coach will have a box available to drop your donation into as you board. On December 6, we'll combine all the Xpress donations and transport them to the Can-A-Thon collection event at Turner Field.
Challenge: We'll count the cans from each route and keep you updated online, via email, and on Twitter throughout the challenge week. We'll have a special prize for the riders of the most generous route!
