PROVIDING GAcollege411 STATISTICS, SIGNIFICANT RECENT DEVELOPMENTS, AND UPCOMING EVENTS.
Georgia Student Finance Commission will be offering training across Georgia beginning in February. These events will offer professionals the opportunity to choose which session topics they want to explore. Topics that will be offered are: Financial Aid 101, ACCEL, STARS 2.0, Transcript Exchange, Professional Center, GAcollege411 Overview, Bridge Legislation for Middle School and Bridge Legislation for High Schools. GAcollege411 Updates
GAcollege411.org has continued to see tremendous growth in terms of usage. We also understand that this increased amount of usage has created times where the site is very slow to respond. We are working with our vendor to ensure that you do not have issues using the site. If you experience any types of issues with the site, please be sure and report those to Sarah Baumhoff at sarahb@gsfc.org.
College, Yes You Can Day
We held our third College, Yes You Can Day at the Capitol on January 24, 2011. This year we had more than 350 students attend the day and participate in the college fair and information sessions on financial aid and the college admissions process. We'll have photos and more information about the event to share soon!
