PROVIDING GAcollege411 STATISTICS, SIGNIFICANT RECENT DEVELOPMENTS, AND UPCOMING EVENTS.

is on the move
February was a very busy month at Georgia Student Finance Commission and for GAcollege411. The Client Services staff at GSFC offered FAFSA Assistance in February for individuals that wanted help in completing the FAFSA. In addition, we are continuing to conduct presentations state wide on GAcollege411 and the financial aid process. Since July 1, 2008, our staff has conducted more than 1600 events statewide reaching more than 104,000 people.
As you may have heard, we are currently working on a new and improved GAcollege411, and this spring we will offer training on the new site which will launch officially this summer. Watch for more information about training in upcoming updates.
Tell us how you are using the site!
We'd love to hear how you are using the site at your school. Below is a message we received from Cammie Lund of Tift County High School. If you'd like to share how you're using GAcollege411, we'd be happy to share your comments in an upcoming newsletter.
"I just wanted to let you know that I am using GAcollege411.org as a resource in my classroom.
This week we are working on career research. My students will take your career key and use the Holland's codes to find what type of job might fit them best.
We will then use your site to research possible careers and make a brochure or poster! Just though I would let you know what a valuable tool your site is in the classroom. "
Sincerely, Cammie Lund
