GAcollege411 Highlights

September 2007

The pilot program has begun for the High School to Post-secondary transcript exchange. During the first week of the pilot, over 80 transcripts were released between high schools (public and private) and the post secondary schools participating in the program. Thus far, the program is successful with no reported fatal errors. We anticipate the HTML version of transcripts to be available this winter.
GAcollege411 Day at the Capitol is scheduled for February 22, 2008 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. During the day, we will have 3 stations equipped with computers to show Georgians just how easy it can be to "Plan", "Apply" and "Pay" for college through the GAcollege411 website. GSFC staff will be on hand to assist and answer any questions.
Conference season is here! Please plan on attending one of the GSFC sessions at GASFAA (Oct. 1819, Atlanta), GACRAO (Oct. 21-23, Savannah) and GCSA (Atlanta) for the most current information on true Transcript Exchange, HOPE, and more!

"Hi. I am in the 11th grade and I am planning to graduate a semester early next year. I was wondering if I could start applying to get some scholarships because I want to start college early. I am wondering if that is a good idea."
