GEORGIA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION RELEASES REPORT
CONCERNING IMPACT OF THE Y2K COMPUTER PROBLEM ON
GEORGIA'S UTILITIES
ATLANTA- This week the Georgia Public Service Commission will release a report titled The Impact of the Year 2000 Problem on the Public Utility Service Providers in the State of Georgia: Context. Assessment and Recommendations. This report is based upon updated information received from Georgia's utilities during December 1998 and was prepared for the Commission by the National Regulatory Research Institute. which is associated with the Ohio State University.
The Public Service Commission staff has prepared a companion document, a set of spreadsheets which provides detailed Y2K readiness information from utilities who responded to a recent Commission survey.
Hard copies of these documents will be available on January 27. 1999 or can be viewed on the Commission's web site (www.psc.state.ga.us) on January 26, 1999.
