Health and child advocates are working together to shed light on an unsuspecting public health topic - youth violence and cyber bullying.
While parents, teachers and community leaders are still working together to reduce instances of school bullying, modern technology has given life to a new wave of electronic bullying happening through social media, text or instant messages, email, chat rooms and websites.
Violence in school and cyber bullying is a growing public health problem that impacts thousands of young people. Youth violence can be the result of past exposure to violence, impulsiveness and lack of conflict resolution skills.
