Four-legged family members love hiking too, so bring your pups along for a tail-wagging adventure. Our Tails on Trails Club challenges you and your dog to explore 12 of 42 participating Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites to earn bragging-rights and a certificate of completion. You even get a t-shirt and your pet gets a matching bandana. No time limit applies, so you can take as long as you wish to finish. Need extra inspiration? Check out #TailsOnTrailsClub on Instagram. Springtime Vacations
Enjoy colorful wildflowers and gorgeous scenery when you spend spring break in the great outdoors. Go paddling under cypress trees, look for gopher tortoise dens along the trail and listen for owls in the evening. Stay in a cabin and enjoy geocaching, mini-golf, kayaking, ranger programs and more right outside your door. Our Park Paddlers Club, Canyon Climbers Club or Muddy Spokes Club are perfect for those who enjoy a challenge. Find your spring adventure on GaStateParks.org.
Remembering Franklin D. Roosevelt
On April 12, 1945, President Franklin D. Roosevelt suffered a fatal stroke while posing for a portrait at his beloved Little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia. Join historians this April 12 at 11 a.m. for a commemorative ceremony on the historic site's lawn, and on April 10 at 10 a.m., tune in to Georgia Public Broadcasting to watch "A President in our Midst: FDR in Georgia." The film won Best Documentary and Best Film (People's Choice) at this year's Southern Film Festival. A DVD of the film has also been distributed to Georgia's public libraries in partnership with Georgia Humanities Council and a grant from the Rural Library Project Inc.
Save Money with New Combo Passes
Annual passes not only save you money, they also encourage you to discover new getaways throughout the year. Our new combo pass package is just $85 (a $100 value).
