REMINDER: Community Landmarks Conference to be held March 25-26
Do you want to find strategies to convince your community to preserve its historic city hall? Would you like to learn how to market a historic site in your downtown? Or do you have the opposite problem of too many visitors to your house museum and want to learn how to protect it? Would you like to "meet" Franklin D. Roosevelt and learn about his New Deal for America? These topics and more will be included in the upcoming History & Heritage Tourism: Discovering Georgia's Community Landmarks, which will be held in Warm Springs. Registration is only $60 and includes meals and tours. Co-sponsors include HPD, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the Georgia Council for the Humanities, the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, the Three Rivers Regional Commission, and the Fox Theatre Institute.
