Only 43 tag orders needed to reach 1,000 orders goal!
Orders for the preservation license plates are now at 957. We are getting closer and closer to our goal of 1000. If we reach this goal by December 31, 2007, funds will be available for the next round of Georgia Heritage Grants. If the goal is not reached until early 2008, this money will not be available until 2009.
Please urge your constituents and friends who may be waiting to send in their orders to go ahead and do so as soon as possible. Only eight orders per week by December 31 would put us over the top! These funds may mean the difference in whether or not a worthy project receives needed assistance next year. Your continued support in promoting the tag is very much appreciated.
For more information, contact Carole Moore, grants coordinator, at Carole.Moore@dnr.state.ga.us or 404-463-8434. To order your preservation tag, visit HPD's web site at www.gashpo.org. We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
