There's still time to register for the State Preservation Conference!
Join The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation April 20-23 as they explore Athens' diverse and rich past and delve into new challenges faced by the preservation community during their Annual Meeting & Ramble and the State Preservation Conference. Learn about topics such as heritage tourism, urban redevelopment plans, campus preservation and downtown revitalization at the State Preservation Conference. Historic Preservation Division staff will coordinate sessions on: vernacular vs. high-style architecture, cemetery preservation and protection, archaeology within the context of historic preservation and helping religious institutions maintain and utilize their resources. Stay for tours and dinners throughout Athens and to hear who's won the 2006 Preservation Awards, which recognize preservation projects and individuals in the state who have made a significant contribution to historic preservation.
