GPB premieres two new documentaries about the Fox Theatre
The Fabulous Fox - Over its 75-year history, millions of people have experienced moments of magic at Atlanta's fabulous Fox Theatre. Vintage photos, archival footage and behind-the-scenes explorations are enlivened by the memories of stars and everyday people whose lives have been enriched by this unique entertainment icon.
This Old Movie Palace: Fixing the Fox - When the theatre was saved from destruction in the mid-70s, the new owners vowed to restore the Fox to its Roaring Twenties splendor... and they've succeeded! See behind-the-scenes of the continuing restoration of this National Historic Landmark.
Both shows will premiere on Georgia Public Broadcasting stations on December 1. Check this Web site for local broadcast schedules and more information: http://168.28.132.100/FOX/foxflash.html.
